My homebrewed fiber
glass antenna mast supporter.
It is for use in the field with a parked
car wheel placed at the horizontal frame
due to stability of the 10 meter tall fibre
glass mast. The fibre glass antenna mast
from WiMo is inside the long black sloped bag.
This is my fiber glass antenna mast supporter. Because I am living in the suburban of the city of Aarhus in Denmark this construction has been wanted for quite a long time. Nothing is better then put the radio shack mobile gear into the car and drives to the highest place, in the nearby area, put up the antennas turn on the transceiver and here we go. For that purpose I have to get the antenna placed high in the air on a mast. I found the fibre glass mast at the WiMo Company in Germany and bought it. When it arrives I still have a problem - how to place it on my car... Then the idea of this homebrewed fibre glass mast support arrived. I contacted one of my local friends OZ9AED, who is a smith, and we met a few days after. Then we did some hours of hard metal work and welding and then the result became as you can see bellow.
